Summer evenings at the shore in South Jersey are absolutely perfect. The calming beauty of the ocean, walking barefoot in the sand, and sitting among the tall grassy dunes at golden hour all perfectly reflect how this chapter feels. During maternity sessions all of those beautiful emotions, from the stillness before your precious little blessing arrives, the deepened connection your growing family already feels, and the anticipation of meeting your new baby, are all photographed to be cherished forever.
Whether these past few months carrying your baby seem to have flown by, or you cannot remember what life was like before your pregnancy began, documenting this season will never bring regret. Years from now, when you find yourself further down your parenting journey, these photos will be a reminder of not only what your pregnancy looked like, but how it felt.
Maternity are one of my favorite types of sessions, and photographing Maddie and Vinny, expecting their first baby, was such a lovely experience. We met at golden hour at a beautiful beach in Ocean County, New Jersey. The light was perfect, and the grass covering the dunes created the perfect backdrop for joyful, timeless photographs. Right at sunset, we moved down to the water, and captured some romantic, dreamy images alone the shoreline. This lovely couple will soon begin their parenting story and will have images from this perfect season to treasure for years to come.
